The development of NGS technologies has greatly increased the advancement of the microbiome field and has demonstrated the need for consistent and standardized microbiome reference materials. To address these challenges Zymo Research has partnered with the BioCollective to introduce the ZymoBIOMICS™ Fecal Reference with TruMatrix™ Technology – the first whole stool microbiome reference material available as a control for NGS analysis.

The ZymoBIOMICS Fecal Reference Database (ZFRD) is a public platform designed to host NGS characterization data generated specifically from the ZymoBIOMICS Fecal Reference with TruMatrix Technology [D6323]. The database is a collection of raw sequencing data and analysis linked to applied methodology from various researchers of the fecal microbiome, enabling comparison, analysis and a better understanding of the effects of workflow processes on microbial profiling.
